By clicking on the link demo.odoo.com, you will access the test database directly.
Right there you can be able to test out an application that you want, or a specific feature that you need.
This is a simple and straightforward way to test a feature in Odoo.
Runbot
Odoo Runbot is a service that lets you easily try out different versions of Odoo software without needing to install anything. This is even more detailed than demo, because you can chose the different version of Odoo that you want to test. In runbot, you can even try out versions of Odoo that have not even been rolled out yet. To access runbot, click on runbot.odoo.com.
You can then select the version of Odoo that you want to try out. You will then be redirected to the website page, where you will click on sign in on the top right, enter the email as "admin" and password as "admin" as well. If it rejects the credentials you simply need to try again.
